ABOUT
MEET JASON ISMAIL
My journey into the world of mathematics and data science is both unique and inspiring. It began in middle school with an initial struggle in algebra, but with my father's guidance, I discovered the joy of problem-solving and logical thinking. This early experience transformed mathematics into a captivating puzzle for me, setting the stage for my future endeavors.

After high school, my life took a practical turn. I married my high school sweetheart and together we embarked on an ambitious project: purchasing and developing 120 acres of land in Arizona. This venture not only tested my resilience but also my analytical skills, leading to significant financial success through smart planning and strategic development.
In college, I revisited my academic interests, starting as a programmer but consistently gravitating back to mathematics. I sought out exceptional educators, ensuring that my foundations in mathematics were rock solid. This pursuit of excellence was reflected in my college performance, where I maintained a 4.0 GPA.

While I scored impressively in the 98th percentile nationally in chemistry, it was clear that mathematics was my true passion. This realization was further cemented during my calculus courses, where not only did I excel academically, but I also discovered a talent for teaching. I became a supplemental instructor for calculus, gaining popularity among students for my effective teaching methods. This experience led to a full-ride scholarship to Pueblo University, where I pursued a degree in mathematics and a teaching license.

Teaching mathematics was fulfilling, but the unforeseen layoffs in my district pushed me to explore new horizons. That's when I discovered the world of Data Science - a perfect amalgamation of my interests in computers, mathematics, and programming. My proactive approach led me to complete a Udemy course in data science before embarking on a master's program, where I built my first neural network and delved into computer vision projects.
In my master's program, I maintained a 4.0 GPA while actively engaging in real-world data science projects. I collaborated with Thrive and Grow Farms, developing innovative solutions and collecting data across state lines. This hands-on experience in data science, combined with my academic and practical background, positions me uniquely for the challenges and opportunities in the field.

As I step into the future, I am particularly drawn to roles that involve Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. With a foundation built on strong mathematical skills and a passion for technological innovation, I am excited to meet prospective employers and contribute to groundbreaking projects.
